Specialist Problem Eye Clinics Launched – Dry Eye and Blepharitis Clinics

We are the first practice in Scotland to offer integrated corneal mapping, detailed tear film analysis and meibomian gland imaging via the new Oculus K5 Keratograph. This technology and software will allow us to significantly improve our diagnosis of tear film and dry eye problems, create bespoke contact lenses for use in orthokeratology and myopia control, and will help in the fitting of complex contact lenses. Our Eye Care for Life Members will be offered screening using this technology as part of their current care plan.
We have added another state-of-the-art video and photo slit lamp bio-microscope and will be combining it with our advanced tear film analysis, meibomian gland imaging technology, BlephEx treatment procedure and InflammaDry diagnostic testing equipment in our dedicated dry eye and blepharitis clinics. This allows us to offer expert opinion, diagnosis and customised treatment plans for these common chronic conditions.

Appointments can be made for the specialist problem eye clinics: Dry Eye Clinic and Blepharitis clinics. Initial assessments cost £60 (£45 for Eye Care for Life members) and follow-up examinations are £45 (£36 for Eye Care for Life members). This clinic runs every Wednesday and each appointment lasts around one hour during which time a detailed evaluation can be achieved, accurate diagnosis made and bespoke treatment plan issued.
