Hycosan Dual – New eye drop on the market for allergic dry eye

Peter and Craig have been involved in specialist dry management for many years and see hundreds of patients per year in our dedicated dry eye and blepharitis clinic, as well as lecturing on the subject thought UK, Europe and further afield.  Craig has recently published a 7 part series in Optician magazine on the subject. As such we are always on the lookout for new and exciting products to help ease the effects of dry eye. One such product which is new to the market is Hycosan Dual.  Building on the success of Hycosan, Hycosan Extra, HyloFresh and Hycosan Plus – Hycosan Dual is recommended for Allergy Related Dry Eye, particularly important at this time of year when many of us are suffering from the effects or pollen.

Hycosan Dual contains 0.05% Sodium Hyaluronate and 2% Ectoin, it is preservative free, sterile for 6 months once opened and is safe to use whilst wearing contact lenses. Hycosan Dual provides additional protection against environmental allergens such as pollen and pollution, offering relief from itching and burning eyes.  It is the only drop currently available on the market that combines Sodium Hyaluronate and Extoin to form a natural dual barrier against environmental allergens such as pollen, dust particles and animal hair.
