Our optometrists and dispensing opticians have a collective combined experience of over 80 years in selecting and fitting spectacle frames.
Spectacles can be selected and fitted to an adult by anyone in the UK; Children under 16 must be fitted by a Dispensing Optician or Optometrist. However perfectly fitting spectacles is a dying art form and is best achieved in the hands of a highly skilled and experienced Dispensing Optician.
Dispensing Opticians complete a 3 year undergraduate degree and are then subject to professional examinations by the Association of British Dispensing Opticians to achieve their FBDO qualification required to practice in the UK. Alison and Jillian are both members of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians and General Optical Council. They both act as clinical tutors and visiting lecturers at Glasgow Caledonian’s undergraduate dispensing programme.
From inexpensive frames to custom designed bespoke frames made to measure for you, our dispensing opticians will ensure you have a perfectly fitted spectacle frame that looks great.

Again these measurements can legally be taken by anyone in the UK in the case of an adult. The skill and accuracy achieved in the hands of qualified dispensing optician will ensure such problems seldom occur. Our dispensing opticians combine their skill honed over years of practice with state-of-the-art dispensing aids which allow us to measure your spectacle lens measurements to within 0.1mm with the Nikon i-Capture system.Back Next
